Alex is a regular on BBC Radio Bristol as Presenter of Saturday Surgery (9am-12pm www.bbc.co.uk/radiobristol)

The presentation of the show alternates between Alex and the brilliant Dr Phil Hammond (Have I Got News For You, Countdown, Trust me I'm A Doctor etc). The 3 hour show runs from 9am - 12pm on Saturday mornings and features a famous guest with their ideas on who they'd invite to the perfect virtual dinner party (dead or alive!) A Doctor in The House slot - this has featured everything from holistic therapists to medical professionals specialising in areas of medicine that are both interesting and often eye opening and an hour to look around at what's on around the West.

Dr Phil and Alex presented the programme together for the first time from The Harbour Festival in August 2008.

Alex also contributes to the BBC Bristol Richard Lewis show and the BBC Gloucestershire David Smith show every weekday afternoon, to look ahead to that evening's news programme.
