Alex joined BBC Points West as a newsreader last July. Each day sees Alex dashing across Bristol from Brainteaser to the Beeb to present the 3.25pm news. Then the afternoon involves preparing for that evening's news, hooking up with Radio Gloucestershire each day for a taster of the evening's programme and researching for any interviews that may be taking place.
It's not all in the studio either. Alex has been sent all across the West; finding out what was happening across the West during the holidays with 'Out & About'; to the preparations of the 200th birthday of Isambard Kingdom Brunel; she was dressed as Agnetha from Abba for Children In Need with her co-host Chris Vacher dressed as Elvis; and from the bustle of a city centre for a special report on congestion 'Gridlock' amongst others.
